1. How do your shirts fit?
Our shirts fit nice and snug. Our unisex crews provide a perfect fit for men and a regular fit for women. Our women's scoop neck provides a perfect fit, longer through the hips. When buying our unisex crew for women, we recommend buying one size down (i.e. if you're a small order an extra small).

2. How should I care for my garments?
We recommend machine-washing our shirts inside out in cold water, and drying on low heat.
3. What is 100% organic cotton?
100% organic cotton is grown using methods that have a low impact on the environment. It is produced without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. This helps replenish and maintain soil fertility, which benefits the environment and protects its inhabitants.
4. What do you do to help sustain the environment?
If there is one thing we have learned about being green is that you don't have to be an activist, you simply have to implement green ideas in your everyday life. Some things we do are: we use eco-friendly cleaners, use compact fluorescent bulbs and are enrolled in our local electric company's renewable energy program. Small positive habits are compounded exponentially when more of us adopt them, and we encourage you to adopt them too. Visit our links section for some great green resources.
5. What else do you do to help sustain the environment?
Portions of our profits are donated to local environmental organizations such as Willamette River Keeper, which help conserve and protect our natural resources.
6. What is being culturally friendly?
Because we both grew up in bilingual/bicultural households, we understand how important our heritage is. We embrace tolerance and awareness of other cultures, and have a deep interest in what it means to be multicultural. We hope to donate a portion of our profits to multicultural foundations in the future. Take a look at some of the leading multicultural organizations: Mavin and iPride.
7. Why does my shirt say that it is made outside of the US, I thought they were sweatshop free?
Sweatshop free facilities do exist outside of the US. Third party inspectors monitor these facilities. Alternative Earth has set a compliance standard that must be met by all its vendors. These guidelines include no forced labor, no child labor, and fair wages. To read Alternative Apparel's compliance standards, go here.
